Finally, after many years Microsoft has released it’s Microsoft Office app for iPhone which is only available for Office 365 subscribers.
The app allows users to edit their Office documents using Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It also allows users to create documents but only for Word and Excel (no PowerPoint). This new app also allows users to edit their email attachments created using Office.
With this new release Microsoft will be able to have more Office 365 subscribers and also Apple will cut some money from any subscription taken using iOS.
The Office 365 documents are not saved into the iDevice, they are uploaded to the Microsoft’s cloud service called SkyDrive and they are automatically synced in all the devices using the same Office 365 account.
Currently, this service is available only in the US but Microsoft is trying to roll out this service in 29 different languages and in 136 markets.
